There is an epigenetic effect of what the parents are consuming and how they're living, that gets passed off in their offspring. To grow your jaw to the appropriate size to fit all the teeth like it's supposed to, you need to stimulate the muscle the jaw, so it needs to work. And then you need the nutrition, and that comes from animal products. I would argue that nutrition in a lot of baby formulas is very suboptimal as well as when a child is being breast fed,. Like it has to use its tongue, the muscles, and its doing oral posture which can facilitate proper growth of the face.
