The Unvarnished View of the Modern World

I found it unsensamental and enjoyed it when it veered off, as you mentioned before, into kind of notions of Afrofuturism. How important was it for you to provide that kind of very contemporary unvarnished view of the modern world? I wanted to depict in my novel how all this aspect or this element of postcolonialism and all whatever, how all these things like impact how we conceptualize out the world as you grew up.
