When she was pregnant with eric coldbor, a bower decided to try and go pain free. She put herself through 24 hours of labour in the hope that it would help her give birth without being hospitalised. But when things didn't work, they tried lye juice - which has been shown to ease some symptoms but can also cause more severe cramps. It worked for one woman who gave birth at 40 weeks...but not everyone is so lucky. The ebby takes about 15-30 minutes from start to finish as you wait for the needle to be inserted into your body.
