What Are the Key Sessions for a Training Week?
The structure of the week should always be based around the hard sessions, and everything else fits around those days. We're trying to make the high intensity sessions with enough break in between so that you can recover for the second time at the appropriate level. The main goal for a single sport person would be to try to do at least one session where they are really putting their body under stress at a high level of intensity. It might only be 10 to 30 minutes of hard stressful training with a big warm up and a big cool down - but it could take an hour or two hours if you've got more time.
