The Importance of Ambition
Moses' self-initiated act of ambition does not deliver the thing that he imagines it's going to. Moses finds himself on the back 40 acres out in the wilderness as a shepherd for 40 years and he must have just come to the conclusion, whatever that ambition was, is long gone. Like anybody who has experienced failure and ambition, they know that sort of back and forth whiplash of unbelievable motivation for action and belief and vision.
