Psychology has been mostly about suffering, really? Actually, yeah, it has been. Up until like, I think like 2002 or something, there's a guy called Martin Seligman invented the field of positive psychology. He was like, look man, for the last hundred years, we all psychologists have been studying suffering. Let's actually try and study what leads to flourishing rather than suffering. It's only in the last 20 years that self-help around positive psychology has really started to take holdAround what drives happiness and well-being and fulfillment rather than what it's like to make things more positive.
