Is There a Moat That Is in My Brother's Eye?
The Lord is immeasurable in his blessings. He's also suggesting we ought to treat other people with the same degree of generosity. Give them the benefit of the doubt. Don't judge them harshly. But judge righteous judgment. Be patient and compassionate and kind. We are only kind to ourselves. And yet still somehow you can see the speck in your brother's eye. There's humor in this. First time I taught this in seminary years ago I bought a pair of glasses and a big piece of balsa wood. Balsa is light enough that you can have it without weighing other things down. If you keep cantilevering things, we got our money's worth
