Product Management - How to Communicate More Than You Really Are
I always attempt to err on the side of transparency with information, unless there's a good reason not to. I try to share research information, testimonials and data as widely as possible so give everybody the ability to see what you are seeing. When i feel like i'm over communicating, it's normally just enough. The perception of communication is that you are doing a lot more than it's actually doing. So defining the why lets you build the case of the importance of your product or feature. It also helps clarify the key measures with success.
