The Disadvantages of Education Research

"Schools are like a me buzz with lots of moving parts. It's hard to get your arms around districts," author says. Education research tends to fall into two buckets: correlational, and study of individual programs or practices. Neither helps us understand success; most of it helps us understand failure more than success. "I am using the tools of journalism, not not quantitative or even qualitative research," he adds.
