How Starmine Built a Stock Ranking Model
Starmine was a startup that created trading models but they weren't actually trading them. They were selling these stock ranking models to larger firms and the output of those models would be productized into a dashboard for portfolio managers. Starmine is certainly not the only type of company that would that sold stock selection factors like that one other big one was called QSG which has since been acquired by another large data vendor.
