Sella's Propaganda Moments
Sella is credited as the man who later gave Pompey his famous epithet, First, Magnus of the Great. After a harsh winter, Sella sends Metellus and Pompey to push deeper into central and eastern Italy. And he himself moves west toward the city of Prineste in modern-day Rome. The war had advanced beyond opening strikes and faints into full-volume, bloody fury.
