Why Is the Self-Driving Car Not Super Intelligent?

A future self-driving car will only do what you tell it, and nothing else. It can't disobey because it cannot have its own ideas or be creative. The Terminator is not a coherent philosophical position in which it does deviate from the finite repertoire of tasks that it has to perform. This way of thinking comes from science fiction - they haven't thought about philosophy,. They've seen movies they've seen and books they've read. That's where the stuff was made up for entertaining us.
