The NSA's Secret Data Collection Program

Whenever there are complaints about shutting down some sort of surveillance program, it is we're going dark. Congress spent that period of time trying to take an inherently illegal and unconstitutional program and make it legal. The final result was the so-called FISA amendments act and specifically section 702 of that particular statute which allows this kind of programmatic surveillance.
