Chuck Schumer's Decision to Join the AI Revolution
After 2016 there was a lot of pressure on these platforms to do more and they actually did go out and hire tens of thousands of people. But I think the scary thing that journalists and academics have been noticing lately is that even that low bar they are starting to pull back. The fear is that as these systems get better, if we don't know how they work, we're not going to understand all the consequences that they're going to have. If you were testifying before a congressional committee about regulating AI in a morphist term it's future completely uncertain.
