The Kuznetz Curve

As people in society become wealthier, they get higher aspirations. Well, I think that loud, detailed, and frequent complaining and griping is a luxury good. People are just going to put their heads down and plow the fields when they're poor. And as they, you have so much leisure time and ability to read that you get to demand more complaining, which is some people find fun. That's probably not the whole story, but that was kind of my thought.
