How to Be a Successful Editor for a Documentary
I started doing doc stuff too and I basically was like I don't want to do this because doc docu memory work with narratives all the writing happens prior right. With docs there's no writing prior there's an idea that's put together let's go out get this footage and then they're trying to create a narrative based upon text on a page. is insane I think editors deserve a hell of a lot more credit for documentaries docu dramas and even the bullshit reality TV you know Kardashian stuff and that's all editors my buddy Andy Palmer who's graduated to directing these days.
