The Transgressiveness of Junk Space in SML XL
He has a complicated set of relationships with junk space, which is that he loves the aesthetic delight he gets in analysing it. I think all his works have discussion of pornography in them at some point. He's got this phogeish nostalgia for a not quite real functionalist, both culturally and architecturally past. And there's a sort of streak of him that thinks this is disgusting this future because it's, you know, it conforms to a lot of those dystopian fantasies of consumption.
