Obama won in 2008 because people thought he would be a better steward of the economy than McCain, says CNN's John Berman. There was frustration about the state of the economy and feeling that things were still very much off track, according to Berman. "These midterm elections are very rarely predictive of the next election," said Obama adviser Julian Zelizer.
