What Happened During Maidan?
During Euromaidan both Facebook and Twitter got incredible boost of new followers, new people who subscribe to those networks. Russian authorities requested it and sometimes they were successful in closing the groups which were bringing together a lot of people. So social media was so crucial important during Maidan because there were not only instruments of sharing information about what is going on on the ground but they were helping to make this revolution alive and functioning.
