i'm half italian, so tat that is a meaningful thing to me. My family just as easily could have ended up in new york. And i think the most fascinating thing is the degree to which there were almost no records of their presence during those years. Ah, and at that that rose a lot of questions for me. The bulk of the book was written during the trumpaministration. So it was really eye opening to see how steadfast andnd, absolutely coherent and cohesive the republican agenda has been for over a century. Like the heaven they aven moved an inch. You can see this very clearly in their immigration policies, and not to talk about their, their economic policies
