If you are worried about this person and not being able to keep up with their blood loss then by all means do that. It should be the person who is most familiar with the device who is doing it. The devices have their own risks not always successful so if there is any kind of reasonable window when you are going to get a scope in there just skip it but if it is like hours then maybe.
