Hate and war is a song from the classes first album. To me it is the sort of definitive announcement of what punk is supposed to be about. The title is a deliberate, a reversal of the hippi slogan, love and peace. It's not actually saying he's in favour of hate and war, but he is taking on the persona of a highly alienated kind of individual yo in the city. And that was what provoked this need for a break.
