C++ and Haskell
Rust has a reputation amongst other language communities as much as it is more c++ and c I'm not positive on this personally but my guess is that like languages grow and then they like innovate and then they inspire. There are people who tend to be more interested in change than those who want to stay where they currently are. Cotlin was purely designed as an evolved Java with nicer things etc nicer code completion, similar to how carbon's being you know promoted at the folks at Google.
