Raceism and Diversity in Health Care
A lot of the rhetoric surrounding why it is that black people and other people of color do not appear in these studies suggest that they don't want to be. This, to me, is a tremendous cop out. It's important to recognize that lack of diversity an races data aren't just values text book. This affects real people. Raceism impacts whether people have health care, how they get to a doctor's office, how they're treated when they get there,. The medical care they receive, and whether they return for another visit.
