The Evolution of the Markets
IEX tries to position themselves around or from what I gather is bringing fairness to the market. One of the big things that we focused on is this idea of when the markets in transition, when the price of a stock is changing. A very fast trader might recognize that the price is changing and profit off of that knowledge. By the time that order actually gets to our matching engine, we know that the market's moved up. We won't trade them at the stale price anymore.
