The Importance of Proper Weight Investing
The main idea that came out of modern portfolio theory in the 1960s was to look at portfolios of just stocks and bonds. It's not practical if performed to the nth degree, but people did find ways to apply it using more simplified versions of it. Sometimes having a rule of thumb works much better in the real world than a complicated theory.
