The Resurrection

Easter is about new creation bursting through after God's victory over all the powers of evil. The Greek word for resurrection is anastasis which means standing up. Resurrection always assumes that people will die, then they will have a period of being dead. And so get very muddled as to what in fact is being claimed at Easter. So why do I and others believe that this related happened to Jesus? It wasn't expected. We're talking about two stage post-mortem reality.
