Borges: A Man of Action

Borges was fascinated by the ability sort of conscience and physically all of it. He's in, I think it's Paraguay visiting somebody, and they're in a bar and some Gaocho comes up and just kills a guy right next to Borges and then just walks away. That is remarkable. And he certainly always wished he was more of a man of action. But there's another thing that kind of goes on here too. His father dies because father had been blind for years at this point. surgeries hadn't worked, etc. Now that he was gone, his mother had more bandwidth to sort of put herself into Borges' life,. which is not necessarily a good
