Plane Tails - The Interview With Sherman Smoot
Sherman Smoot died in an aircraft crash on Friday 2 September 2022. Sherman was flying a highly modified Yakolov Yak 11 named Chek Mate, which was being rebuilt for the upcoming Reno air races. In his memory, we'd like to replay the interview he kindly gave to plane tails at the Aviation Museum Duxford in 2019 when he flew to Europe in the C-47s Betz's Biscuit bomber.
