The japanese missed key fuel dumps that could have kept the us. Out of the war for much longer. Wrships that happen to be out at sea made it easier for the united states to reconstitute its navy um and its striking power in a shorter amount of time. And so i think the lesson that the chinese have learned is you got to finish the job. If you only hit the big eagle half way, and you're just inviting retaliation. The question is not, how do we keep the united states out of the war? It's how do we beat and grind down american forces such that they are not effective enough to prevent us from doing what we want
