Cricket was so hungry she ran out of food at 1 p.m. that day while on Catatun. She made the crucial decision a couple months earlier to stop sending herself food boxes and instead embrace the more typical hiker diet. Her husband Sam Anzer helped her rehydrate dehydrated rice and beans with me.
