Boris Johnson and the COVID Rules
Boris Johnson clearly understood the rules, regardless of what he was being told. I have been repeatedly assured since these allegations emerged that there was no party and that no COVID rules were broken. The guidance was followed completely during number 10. There is no denial from anyone that Boris Johnson understood both the guidelines and the rules, the laws. But he gave assurances over both of those things. That matters and we'll come on to why that matters in a minute.
