Jesus says the beast must die for human history to become what God called it to be. And that's what Jesus sees himself doing as he dies on the cross. It's letting the beast do its worst so that he can die on behalf of the beast. I know this is a strange dream, but if you're honest with yourself, you know what this is talking about.
