The Typewriter and Remington Arms

Sholes and glynden built the first couple of hundred units, but they were not at all mass production items. They found that almost all their profits were being eaten up by the cost of manufacture. So what did they do? They approached the remington arms company. In 18 73, they basically became a part of the remington company. Remington was also the one who invented the name typewriter.
