Comics and the Keyfall for Hearings

Comic books have this almost cult like culture around them. The reason why comics are a weird, third teer artistic medium in the united states is because of a what was called the keyfall for hearings. Comics were selling so much that comic book publishers didn't actually celebrate print runs to a prospective audience. They just would the standard run for a book was basically a million copies.
