The Second Theme of the First Movement of the Sabalius Symphony
The music here is beautiful, but it's not really centred in any key. Every one of those variations is setting up the next variation. So as far as we know, we are in a traditional sonata form movement. But hold on a second. The accompaniment begins in g major, a totally bizarre, unrelated key to e flat major. And as the accompaniment continues, it moves in chromatic scales with the strings playing together in thirds.
