The Disservice of the Genre
The government leaks like a sieve. If there were such conspiracies, they'd be on the front page of the New York Times the following day. It just, the government doesn't do a good job of keeping, of keeping things secret when it's trying very, very hard. I think that's one aspect in which the genre is really done the real world of disservice in projecting that sense of how easy it is to keep secrets to cover up.
