Building Trust in One-on-Ones
Many leaders exclusively meet one-on-one with their direct reports. I would probably say I spend a third to a half of those meetings just getting to know the person, building a personal relationship. The more that you're able to share your personal challenges, your vulnerabilities, your concerns about the company, your thoughts, that really tends to build much greater levels of trust.
