Lewis and McDonald - Isn't It a Good Idea?

One of the most problematic things about George McDonald, especially for modern people, is that he comes across somewhat as a universalist. And you could see how Lewis sort of reconciles that because he presents an afterlife alternative which preserves God's goodness. So McDonald's concern that there are people who desperately want God and God is rejecting him. You can see that Lewis has reconciled that to say no, no, no one, no one who wants God is turned away. Most people don't want God.
