The 808 wasn't an easy machine to program either. Getting one, there wasn't even a lot of them out there. And so I never owned the 808 until after I was famous. It was considered a failed drum machine. Because it didn't really sound like drums. The whole idea of the drum machine was supposed to sound as much like drums.
