God's Characteristics in Exodus 34, 6 and 7
God describes himself in ways that are not off putting. Theyare ways that are inviting, said daniel. And i think also it's very important to see the common thread between these two descriptions. Part of why jes s came in the new testament was to reveal to us the heart of his father. So it shouldn't surprise us that the jesus who came to reveal the father would have some of the same tone and characteristics and attitude in his self description as we see from the father in exodus 34.
