Huerta's Plan to Overthrow Madero
The armistice of February 16th is the last day you can credibly claim he was not actively working with Dias to overthrow Madero. As the sun set on February 16th, Huerta sent a communique to Wilson, alerting the ambassador of his intention to resolve the situation. Henry Lane Wilson did not know the details of the plan in advance, but he knew when it was going to happen and had given his approval. He now stepped more forthrightly into the picture.
