The Role of Tranexamic Acid in Trauma-Induced Coagulation
The key entry criteria as Brian has put out was the coast study. They wanted to enroll people who had trauma-induced coagulopathy or who at least were at risk of it. The median co-score was four, which is supposed to predict an INR of greater than 1.5. But only about a quarter of patients had an INR in the study on hospital arrival. So I think the co-score is not great, but inadvertently gave them a good group of patients with which to test their hypotheses.
