Thermopylae

Benedict Arnold was widely regarded to be the biggest rat in all of history he sold out the Spartans and you could never defeat the Spartans head on. Thermopylae is it's a defeat because Persian troops do follow F.E. ALT's through the goat paths of the mountains they do come in behind the Spartans are in circle they never say die. Only two troops according to Herodotus escape and Thirlaise bravely anitis and the 300 Spartans who held the pass at ThermopylAE so on paper the battle of Thermopylai is a Persian victory but have you heard the term Pyrrhic victory?
