Mining is basically a way to accumulate bit coin at a discount to spot, right? And you capture that arbitrage, and that's the profit for for mining. So we've seen it for over ten years now, ever since bick coin had a price and this became measurable. The dynamic of block size is not really increasing. There have been some soft forks and efficiency improvements but those are one time gains which can't be repeated.
