Is the Flutes Solo in Anchorman Good?
The Flutes solo in Anchorman is really, really good. It's almost a nod to Michael J. Fox's equally unhelpful instructions to the band in Back to the Future. Ron Burgundy inhales some liquor into the flute and then blows it out through the flute across a lighter,. which causes flame to go shooting out of the flute. He's sliding into the bathroom and playing a solo. So yes, I mean, listen to that.

Tim Howes is a doctor and saxophonist based in Bristol, UK. He started on sax at age 10, playing Beatles and Stones covers in a school band, then became obsessed with jazz theory as a teenager, tracing how jazz harmony flows through other musical styles. Sax playing eventually took a backseat to studying and practicing medicine, but he has passed his love of music on to his kids. (And he still sounds pretty great, in my opinion! ~K)
