The Master and His Espossary

Scientists tend to think of the left hemisphere as, in some sense, being superior. This is not a good way of thinking about it, or talking about it, really. He says it's the other way round, that the right hemisphere is, if you like, the one that's in charge. And he gives this kind of parable analogy of the story of the master and his emissary. You know, the reason that he wanted to be in charge is just because he thought he was so great. But he wasn't actually as great. We'll see lots of examples of this when we look at split brain patients.
