Or other approaches like internal family systems by Dick Schwartz talks about this idea of a conference table in your mind where all these different parts of ourselves exist. There are also these protectors like managers firefighters managers day-to-day busyness they distract us from feeling the uncomfortable things firemen blast buttons with water hoses and we don't want to be hurt again.
