How to Reduce Intracranial Pressure
Diuresis is a very effective and potentially rapid method to alter the ICP but not the best titrated one. Almost every neurosurgical patient gets a dose of steroids. The fallout from it may be notable, particularly in patients who are brittle diabetics. Be wary when you take on these patients that you're not going to move them to a context where you change the elevation of their head unless you know this is safe.
