How to Be a Fine Artist

In school, I went to Ringling and so that and I majored in illustration because their illustration program was again really traditionally grounded with lots of life drawing. So I thought that this would give me some kind of career options to be able to make my way before I could make the fine art thing work out. What I chose to do was look for galleries that would represent me permanently so they have exclusive rights to sell my work in their region. It's a little bit more like art rep or an agent where they're supposed to be acting on your behalf and doing the sales.
